Down Perfect Pillow

This pillow is primarily filled with feather, but features a small layer of down on the top and bottom, creating a soft buffer against the feather quills. The shell is a crisp, durable, 255 thread count cotton that is feather-proof.

The pillow is available in the following sizes: - Standard: 20" x 26", 30 oz fill - Queen: 20" x 30", 37 oz fill
- King: 20" x 36", 45 oz fill

Feathers have hard, springy quill shafts with soft fibres branching off. This springy quality provides a nice heft to the pillow. The medium support level is well-suited for front, back and side sleepers, being firm enough for side sleeping without propping the head up too much for front and back sleeping. For those who sleep primarily on their side or prefer a very firm pillow, the Firm version may be a better option.

This single-chamber pillow is finished with a double needle stitch. The 255 thread count cotton fabric is feather-proof, allowing for high-quality construction. The fill consists of small (2-4 cm) white goose feathers, which have a quill with soft fibres branching off.

Compared to down or microfiber pillows, a feather pillow like this one has a distinct look and feel. Feathers have a hard quill with fibres extending from each side, while down consists of clusters of filaments growing from a central point (no quill). Microfiber is a fluffy polyester substance.

In terms of support, feathers provide excellent support due to the springy quills, while down provides minimal support as the delicate clusters compress significantly under the weight of the head. Microfiber is plush like down, but denser, offering more support than down but less than feather.

The 255 thread count is the minimum recommended to prevent feather leakage. Lower thread counts are more durable and affordable, but may produce some noise with movement, while higher thread counts are softer, quieter and more expensive.
