This pillow is filled predominantly with feather, but features a small layer of down on the top and bottom. This creates a soft buffer against the feather quills.

Feathers have a hard, springy quill shaft with soft fibres branching off. This springy quality provides a nice heft to the pillow.

The shell of this pillow is made of a crisp, durable, 255 thread count feather-proof cotton.

The soft support level of this pillow works best for front sleepers who don't require excessive loft. If you need more support, the Medium or Firm versions may be better suited.

Construction-wise, this single-chamber pillow is finished with a double needle stitch.

The 255 thread count fabric is 100% cotton, which is feather-proof and allows the down to breathe.

The fill is composed of small white goose feathers (2-4 cm). Feathers are the outer covering of birds, with a quill and soft fibres extending from the shaft.

How does this feather pillow compare to down or microfiber options?

In terms of look and feel, feathers have a hard quill with fibres, down consists of fluffy clusters, and microfiber is a plush polyester material.

Loft, a measure of down quality, is not used for feather or microfiber pillows.

Feather provides excellent support due to the springy quills, while down provides minimal support as the delicate clusters compress significantly. Microfiber is plush like down, but denser, offering more support than down but less than feather.

Down is more expensive than feather or microfiber due to its scarcity and superior insulating properties.

Thread count is important, with a minimum of 255 required to prevent feather/down leakage. Lower thread counts are more durable and affordable but may make some noise, while higher thread counts are softer, quieter and more expensive.
